Babis took the time to understand exactly what we wanted from our holiday and created the perfect itinerary - beautiful little islands, hidden coves, crystal-clear swimming spots, fantastic activities. Vicky's cooking was incredible! Casino Royale was the perfect boat for our group - plenty of room for us all, super comfortable - and Babis and Vicky truly made the holiday exceptional."

"Casino Royale is absolutely beautiful and had plenty of room for the 10 of us, all adults. The state rooms were very comfortable and had nice size beds. Everyone had a private bath as well. Out caption and his helper were amazing. Vicky and Harris absolutely spoiled us with incredible meals and great locations. Just when we thought we had been to the prettiest island ever Harris would surprise us with another great spot. Vicky cooked up a storm and blew us away with fabulous ethentic Greek cuiseen. "Wonderful trip through the Greek Islands We just arrived back to Athens with several friends from a week sailing on a 50 feet Catamaran “Casino Royale”, our skipper Haris Psaropoulos and the hostess Vicky did an excellent job spoiling us during the complete week!! What an excellent ride! Even though the captain recommended several programs for the week we insisted on going to Mykonos, man was he right on all the things he told us about that island! Next time I would recommend all others to trust 100% on the captain recommendations! He was right about everything!! Very honest with all the things he told us! "We were dealt a Royale Flush on the Casino Royale catamaran in the Greek islands. Yachtsailing.com made the transition from our hotel to boat a breeze by Eugene and his staff. We got greeted by our Captain Haris and our Hostess Vicky with a very warm welcome. They were very informative and accommodating from the get go. Their was nine of us renting the very comfortable catamaran, The Casino Royale. Each day Captain Haris took us to a beautiful spot to eat a fabulous Greek lunch cooked by our Hostess Vicky. Every morning we woke up to the smell of fresh coffee and a hot Greek breakfast. Each night we’d dine at whatever port we sailed to. Captain Haris was very entertaining and shared some great stories of his sea experience. Vicky, our hostess was an amazing Greek family style cook. She took great attention to pleasing everyone’s needs and was kind enough to share her recipes with me. By the end of week we all felt like one BIG GREEK family. All nine of us agreed we were so happy that we chose to have a Captain and Hostess because it made it truly a vacation. Haris and Vicky took care of all the connections and knowledge to navigate this trip. It was a trip of a lifetime!"

"What a fabulous trip on the Casino Royale! Everyone at YachtSailing.gr were so accommodating. Eugene was so helpful answering our never ending questions with great patience! "We spent a week aboard the Casino Royale with Captain Xaris and hostess Vicky with a group of 9 adults and we had an unforgettable week exploring the most beautiful Greek islands. Xaris and Vicky made us feel like family - Xaris took us to some of his most favorite and meaningful places in the islands and Vicky made sure we were always comfortable and well fed with her delicious cooking. They shared stories, wisdom, and many many laughs. Xaris has longtime friends in every port and it is easy to see why. He and Vicky went above and beyond to make sure we had a very special week and with every place we visited and every story Xaris told, it felt like he was sharing a piece of his heart with us. "Exceeded All Expectations!! A perfect week on Casino Royale What a fantastic experience from booking to the sad time we had to leave!! We are a discerning group who has traveled quite a bit. Not all were sure about the boat charter experience. But this week could not have been better. Eugene was a pleasure from our initial booking and and happily answered all of our questions before arrival. When we arrived in port, we were greeted by friendly staff and ushered onto the Casino Royale. That’s when the real fun began! Harris (Harry, Haris, Xaris, Bobby) is an extremely skilled Captain, excellent guide, hilarious storyteller, and treats his guests like family. Everyone knows him and he’s so friendly and charming, it’s not hard to see why. Vicky is the best Greek cook and sweetest steward/hostess you could ask for. She shops, cooks, cleans and crews to make sure all is smooth sailing. Together they made our week one of our best vacations ever. We are a family of 7, ages 14-75. We didn’t have to think about anything - everything was taken care of and was a perfect blend of seeing sights, relaxing, eating and drinking, and enjoying the sea with swimming, paddleboarding and tubing off the dingy. Vicky’s breakfasts and lunches were unbelievable. They got better and better each day! Dinners were in town where Harry secured us the best table and the best spots for mooring. The Saronic Islands are beautiful! Not as crowded as other parts of Greece - beautiful towns and countryside, smooth sailing and not long between destinations. Book your trip. "Excellent ! One week trip in Saronique Islands and Cyclades (Kythnos and Kea) We loved our skipper and hostess (Harris and Vicky). Thanks to them, we had a fantastic Week on our catamaran (blue Lagoon 50). - we felt in very good hands with Harris (ex-captain in Greek Navy) and in total safety (we had 6 kids on board) - Vicky was an excellent cook, always keen to accommodate everyone’s wishes (including two people eating gluten free, being Coeliac, one vegan, and many meat lovers :-) !) They worked hard during the whole week, anticipating our needs, listening to us and showing great flexibility to make sure we make the most of our cruise Organisation by Yacht Sailing was perfect. "Can’t do better: Awesome Greek vacation We spent one week sailing on a YachtSailing catamaran in August 2019. We had an amazing time with the following highlights : • Boat quality >> Lagoon 500 Casino Royale catamaran >> very comfortable boat!! Plenty of inside and outside space. Inside, there is A/C everywhere (rare luxury that was actually very pleasant given the hot temperatures in Greece in August), our large cabins all had en-suite bathrooms (each with shower, sink and toilet). The kitchen had everything you can hope for. In the living room, in addition to having a comfy couch there was also a large flat screen (that we didn’t really use since we spent most of our time outside). Outside, the large table accommodated all of us (9 guests) very comfortably on soft sofa seats. We really loved sunbathing on the bean bags attached to the front of the catamaran. There were 2 paddles on board which we used on several occasions. • Crew quality >> our skipper Harris >> he was fantastic, he has extensive sailing experience (former navy professional and has been a catamaran captain for many years) and we felt very safe in his experienced hands. He took us to the Saronic islands first and then when we asked to also visit two Cyclades islands, he was very flexible and accommodated our requests while explaining with details the pros and cons. His sailing was very smooth and the wind was perfect to travel fast but still safely and comfortably. Harris always arranged for us every aspect of the port logistics, recommending us excellent tavernas/restaurants in each port, booking a taxi boat where needed (in Hydra for example, a taxi boat linked our paradise isolated mooring creek and the lovely harbor where we ate). • Crew quality >> our hostess Vicky >> she really made a difference and was key to ensure we truly enjoyed our holidays. "Best trip EVER out of 49 countries/Experiences!! From 26SEP-05OCT 2019, We sailed with 4 other couples on the "Casino Royale" 50' Catamaran and Haris Psaropoulos (Captain) and Vicky Tsoumari (Hostess) and Eugene Theodoridis (Yacht Sailing Greece Booking Agent and Coordinator) were the most amazing people we could have asked for in every single way. We planned this trip 11 months earlier with 4 other couples who were friends from the USA, UK, Chile and Latvia to join us for our greek island sailing adventure. We spent 7 days on the CAT and the accommodations (even the two bunk beds for the 5th couple) were the best we could have expected considering the size of the boat and we were all comfortable and had the space needed to sleep (If you are over 6', I do not recommend the bunk beds as an option, but anything less it will be comfortable), store our stuff and shower in separate bathrooms each day (The bunk beds share a bathroom with one of the 4 suites). Every day we explored a new island and had an opportunity along the way where Haris would sail us to a secluded bay with crystal clear, 30' deep, water where we could snorkel, swim, cool off and just chill for a few hours after breakfast. Each location was prettier and more majestic than the previous one. Then we sailed for a few hours to an island port, got a briefing on all the things to do, see and where to eat the best food and ventured out on our own for the afternoon and evening (we slept each night on the boat in port). Haris and Vicky were the best hosts we could have ever asked for and during our adventure we became friends (How could we not???) and bonded as a a crew. Vicky prepared the most amazing meals (Breakfast and Lunch) which were plentiful and each day we had a different taste of the best of Greek cuisine. She deserves 2 Michelin Stars for her efforts, presentation and the taste and quality of her cooking with fresh ingredients purchased each day in port made for the best tasting meals EVER!!…"
"Simply a great and unique experience that could not have been better. Any words of praise I use, or whatever high rating I give Yachtsailing, cannot fully express my appreciation for how we well were treated during our one week cruise on the Casino Royale this September. From my first communication with Eugene, and the many, many questions until even a week or more after we disembarked, the courtesy, honesty, helpfulness, good humor, fairness, and quality of every thing associated with their operation was absolutely exceptional. And the same is especially true for the skipper of the Casino Royale, Haris Psaropoulos and our hostess, Vickie. Haris's willingness to take us to the kind of places we wanted to go and his experience in the Mediterranean gave us unique introduction to the Greek Islands, culture, and food. The sailing and locations he picked were perfect and we had a million laughs. (He does need work on his dancing) Vickie's meals were always very very good, always based on very fresh and local food, with variety and always some welcome tasty surprises. Her good humor and friendliness was as good or better than Haris's. Eugene and Alex and the rest of the crew were so helpful in every instance, going way beyond normal to arrange transportation, tours, and almost anything we asked from start to finish. "Exceeded All Expectations We spent a week aboard the Casino Royale with Captain Harry and Vicky in late September. Everything about the trip was absolutely wonderful. Our high strung, hard to please, extended family were all immediately put into relaxation mode by Yacht Sailing's experienced team. Despite an entire year of emails and preparations, no question went unanswered. Eugene, Alex, and Joanna, went above and beyond when it comes to customer service and showed unending bounds of patience throughout. Even though we were pretty set on sailing the Cyclades, the weather did not cooperate and Captain Harry made the very best of cruising the Saronic Gulf. In the end, the laid back ports and uncrowded coves were much more our style and I'm very grateful he did not let our original plans get in the way of the better option. Vicky was an absolute delight and again showed saintly patience and care, cooking and cleaning for our motley crew. Her fresh salads and traditional Greek cuisine were the best meals we had during our two week stay in the country. I personally really enjoyed having access to the paddleboards everyday, getting a chance to waterski, and reading (napping) in the comfy lounge chairs on the front deck. I also appreciated getting to have quiet mornings in town to go for a walk, run, or grab coffee before we sailed on to the next lovely stop. This was a trip of a lifetime for us and I'm so grateful my father-in-law found Yacht Sailing to make it happen. My sincere thanks to the crew and everyone behind the scenes."
"Incredible Experience in the Cyclades with YachtSailing Greece We were a bit scared to travel during Coronavirus times, but thankfully Eugene at Yacht Sailing Greece was very accommodating and we made our trip happen! 8 friends from around Europe met in Athens and sailed the Cyclades for 7 days aboard the incredible Casion Royale. Eugene and everyone at Yacht Sailing Greece were extremely helpful, I called Eugene on multiple occasions in the weeks leading up to our trip and he answered every time. I had heard horror stories about renting yachts in Greece but we experienced no problems at all. Eugene was totally fair and honest, and provided a full and accurate breakdown of all costs prior to the trip, including extras. Our captain was Alexandros Voulgaridis from Greece, he was a really great captain and took us to all the islands we wanted to visit, and recommended the best local restaurants. We were a group of 8 young party people and he put up with us without complaining. We were very grateful. I would highly, highly recommend requesting him as a skipper! The one thing our group wish we would have done was hired a hostess. We will do this next time, as they cook and keep the boat tidy. Overall a once-in-a-lifetime adventure... we will be back for sure!"
"A wonderful vacation with Harry and Vicky We returned with pleasure onto Casino Royale after an unforgettable experience last year and although it is hard to believe this year was even better. Harry excelled in showing us the most beautiful and hidden places, and Vicky delighted us with the prepared food. The only problem is the catamaran itself, which has become a bit old and had some technical problems, which Harry always managed to solve. All in all, an unforgettable experience and a couple of wonderful people (Harry and Vicky) to whom we will return with pleasure next year for our annual vacation at sea."

What A Trip!!!
"Without any previous experience sailing or chartering a boat, we had little idea what to expect. Eugene, Haris, Vicky and the entire Yachtsailing team did not let us down! Eugene made himself available (in a very different time zone) to personally answer our questions, even though we learned many of our questions could have been answered on their website. From beginning to end, the process was smooth and kept us very comfortable. Casino Royale was an awesome choice for our yacht. The boat was very clean and comfortable for our family of five (each kid was able to have their own room). And the crew!!! What a dream!!! Haris was a gracious, charming, hilarious and extremely able Captain who made sure we were happy and safe. His lovely wife, Vicky, was an unbelievable Hostess who prepared five star meals for us every day for breakfast and lunch. She made sure our accommodations were well looked after as well. "Wow! We just got off the Casino Royale after a week of exploring the islands. We could not be happier with the experience. From communication from the beginning and dealing with flight delays, everyone was spectacular! There is no one else I would trust than Vicki and Bobbi! We had three small children on the boat including a toddler and they were fantastic with the kids and always ensured it was safe and fun. Vicki’s food is the absolute best, she truly cooks from her heart. I can honestly say her food is better than any restaurant. Captain Bobbi handled a very stressful situation very calmly and made us feel at ease. He always offered us multiple options each day and made us part of every decision. We now have new family in Greece and I cannot recommend Vicki and Bobbi enough. The absolute best!"

"When you choose the Casino Royale and have Capt Haris and Vicky as your guides, it makes for an unforgettable experience – and I’m talking more than the impressiveness of keeping 3 teenagers off of electronics. Casino Royale is an extension of Capt Haris and Vicky – and part of the caring, welcoming home you have for the week. They know every inch of the boat as if it were another member of their family. It has all the modern amenities you need. No one missed the comforts of home because we had them at our fingertips. We were two families totaling 7 – and Capt Haris and Vicky made each one of us feel so special. We sailed the Saronic islands because we wanted to explore islands we had never heard about. Capt Haris has friends in every port – and he arranged for taxis or ebikes so we had a variety of experiences, and no two days (or islands) were the same. He was so attentive to my oldest who is majoring in theatre technology and loves Greek history – that he insisted we go to Epidaurus to visit the Ancient Theatre of Asklepios. Those are memories we would never have made on our own. And what can we say about Vicky’s hospitality? Breakfasts and lunches were heaven – and she was able to appeal to a multitude of palettes. Her meals were by far better than anything we ate for dinners on-island. We compared every salad to hers – and having fresh bread to dip into the salad dressing and tzatziki was beyond words. The teens were all kept very busy enjoying our morning swims in quiet harbors, snorkeling, diving off the boat or just chilling….with their parents. Who else could make that happen but Haris and Vicky? By the time we disembarked – we were sad to say good-bye to our new extended family. "Best vacation ever! 8 of us (4 couples) had a blast with Captain Haris and his wife Vicky. 1. The boat was amazing: comfortable beds, room for 4 couples, room for dining and fun every day. Modern equipment, great Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for music. 2. Our captain is navy officer! He knows his way around these waters and keeps us safe. Also, Hari knows everyone - he gets the best spots for docking so pretty much we docked at promenade every single night, amazing for people watching 3. Vicky: she is such a sweet and genuine person. He cooking is so homey and comforting - it really relived me of work stress. She cooked variety of different dishes: favorite are shrimp linguini, variety of salads and veggies, lamb, fish, and even octopus. All the food was absolutely amazing, I am taking all the recipes for my family. 3. The route: we visited several different smaller islands like Poros and Hydra. We loved loved loved all the stops and being able to step off the boat and just go sightseeing or dining! 4. Real vacation: being smoothed to sleep each night by the gentle boat rocking comfortably, belly full of amazing food and wine, fit from swimming and jumping, but also visiting Ancient Greek ruins (they’re everywhere!) - this is best vacation ever!"

"This morning we finished our one week trip to the Greek islands on Casino Royale with Captain Harris and our wonderful hostess (and his wife) Vicky. Our experience with YachtSailing GR has been spotless. From the first inquiry, to the quickness of their replies and sharing all types of information that we would need, they made it all stress free! Thank you to Eugene, Ioannq, Maria and Marianna who were so patient with all of our inquiries and questions. Our catamaran, Casino Royale was perfect for us. All beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious and outfitted with all the comforts we needed. The boat is in spotless condition and it offers so many places for lounging in the sun, or in the shade that we never felt cramped. "Fantastic week of sailing with Captain Haris and hostess Vicky! I broke my foot just before our vacation, but they made sure that I did not miss out on anything. Captain Haris worked his magic to dock Casino Royale in the prime spot at each place we visited, so that I could easily get on and off the boat to explore each island. When the rest of my party rode motor bikes around Spetses, Haris arranged for an electric three-wheeled vehicle so my husband and I could join in the adventure. Every kindness and accommodation was done by Haris and Vicky with such genuine hospitality and joy, that I truly felt like a family member and not just a troublesome passenger. I am already looking forward to our next cruise with them on Casino Royale - this time without a cast!"

"Wow what a great week sailing in the Saronic Gulf. Yacht Sailing GR was excellent at managing the process and answering our questions. However what really made the week was Captain Harry and cook/mate Vicki (his wife). They had everything under control from the moment we walked onto the Casino Royale (which is a great boat). Harry and Vicki made our week! Getting slips at each port is no easy task - Harry was a master at always securing a prime slip.. This was particularly important, as it precluded the need to use the zodiac and allowed us to get on off the boat easily and multiple times at each port. Harry also knew what activities we should do at each port, where to dine, and where to go for after dinner drinks. Harry and Vicki also arranged everything for us at each port; including e-bikes, donkey rides , swimming, and island tours. Vicki was also focused on making sure we didn't go hungry. The coffee was brewing before we were up, and Vicki prepared lavish breakfasts and lunches. She really spoiled us. We feel fortunate to have been "dealt' Harry and Vicki. They really made the trip so much fun. This was definitely a special family vacation"

"My long-time friends and I just spent a week sailing the Saronic Islands on the Casino Royale with the charming and amazing Captain Haris and First Mate Vicky. The Casino Royale is a beautiful, modern cat with all the latest comforts to ensure an enjoyable journey. It is a very stable vessel, but Captain Haris consulted with us every morning and discussed weather forecasts and presented us with options in terms of destinations while considering calmer seas. We were very much a part of the decision-making every day on where we might like to visit. We spent so much time on the boat because it was so comfortable that we often did not want to leave it! Most days we simply enjoyed all the comfortable and spacious sofas and tanning chaises on the front of the boat listening to our music pumped through the Casino Royale sound system with the beautiful blue sea all around us. We usually stopped at some gorgeous, quiet cove with clear water and were able to swim and paddleboard. In addition to being an excellent boat captain, Captain Haris also is an expert drone master, and he took amazing photos and vidoes of our trip that we will treasure forever. Our incredibly charming First Mate Vicky was an incredible chef. She served amazingly tasty breakfast and lunches made from fresh local ingredients and beautifully presented. Our group had a bit more complicated food needs -- some vegetarians, pescatarians, and omnivores -- and Vicky discussed with us options and always served thoughtful and delicious meals that accommodated all our tastes. "Epic week with five teenagers. Greek islands were the perfect destination - sunny and welcoming with wonderful food, beautiful scenery, warm clear water. No bugs, or tides or scary sea creatures - they barely have clouds. Yacht Sailing truly made this a vacation though! Adventures are a ton of work, and the crew on our boat made it effortless! They designed a perfect itinerary for our group (lots of swimming, cliff jumping, paddling, caves, dining, dancing, exploring towns and coves, beach bars and and and). Vicki and Harris were the perfect balance of friendly and accommodating, available but also gave us time and space for family. They kept us safe, prepared wonderful food (and cleaned it up!), transported us from one beautiful place to the next, and made sure our time on each island was stress-free with directions, recommendations and reservations. Captain Haris and his amazing wife, Vicky, created an experience that far exceeded anything we could have imagined. And is an amazingly skilled captain. Vicky made incredible breakfast and lunch. The presentation was great and the meals were even better. Between the swimming, the shopping, the history, the sunsets, and the endless laughs, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect trip. We love the barefoot relaxed feel and family atmosphere of being on the boat and Babbis and Vicky really take care of you as if you are part of their family/crew. We are a family of 5 with 2 teenage girls and a 10 year old boy, so pleasing everyone is almost impossible: it is the one holiday that every single person gives 5 stars! "My family along with my sister’s (9 people total) had the pleasure of spending a week on Yacht sailing’s Casino Royal catamaran with the fantastic crew, captain Harris and his wife Vicky. From the moment we stepped aboard, they welcomed us like family. Harris gave us daily briefings with options for our itinerary, excursions and dining and shopping at the islands. We started our days with a plentiful breakfast spread prepared by Vicky and looked forward to her delicious lunches which she provisioned with fresh food from our island stops. They were so much more than our hosts- they told us stories, prioritized safety, shared a lot of laughs and even gave us some personal souvenirs. They are so passionate about their work and it made for an unforgettable family vacation. There are many options to consider when planning a catamaran sailing trip, we’d highly recommend prioritizing the crew experience as the boats offer similar features. We sailed the saronic gulf as the winds in the Cyclades were very strong. This turned out to be a perfect itinerary for our families with young adults and teens. You still have nightlife options, they feel more local and easy to navigate. We did a lot of swimming, cliff jumping, paddle boarding, beach bars, shopping, ATVing, swam in a cave, fed peacocks and reindeer on an island, made a lot of cat friends, and hiking options. We even rescued a turtle at sea who was tangled in plastic. We have traveled a lot as a family, including past catamaran charters. The trip exceeded our expectations. So grateful for the memories. "I cannot begin to describe how fantastic Bobby and Vicky were to us, and how great of a trip they made this. I went on their boat with a friend, and between family and friends we had 8 people total. It was a life changing experience, with Bobby and Vicky constantly changing the trip to our liking, making us laugh, and keeping us as comfortable as possible. The boat (casino royale) was fantastic, AC was greatly appreciated, the space was exceptional. There was very little time on the boat that we were not jumping in the water, out reading in the sun at the front, and playing games! The best feeling after being in the sun all day was sleeping in the VERY cool bedrooms where I had to use my blanket every night, it was so nice with the AC. Vicky and Bobby were not only perfect hosts, they ended up as great friends and I look forward to doing this trip again. I would do it again every month if I could. Thank you!"

Harris was so committed to saving that little guy and the kids absolutely loved it. Straight out of National Geographic show! Vicky our host made delicious local cuisine each day for breakfast and lunch. She would go into local markets to get fresh produce, meats and fish and was very in tune to the kids snacking. Her food was so good … gyros, meatballs, prawns, lamb, lasagna, stuffed chicken and soooo many tasty Greek salads. We miss her delicious cooking!! And she went the extra mile when we celebrated my sister’s birthday, including a special lunch, beautiful cake and a sweet Greek happy birthday song. "Vicky and Bobby were unbelievable cohosts for the week we were aboard the Casino Royale. Never failed to keep us entertained and comfortable as we sailed from island to island. A Great Yacht sail in the Greece Mediterranean!
"This trip was amazing!!! We had a total of 8 guests on board plus Captain Haris and his wife and exceptional cook Vicky … what makes this such a great trip without question is the Captain and Vicky. Captain Haris has strong connections with all the locals on the islands visited and makes all your island excursions a pleasure. His on board story telling is very entertaining as well. You form a strong connection with the both of them. Vicky is an incredible chef/cook working in a limited space kitchen. She cooks Greek cuisine that never disappoints for both breakfast and lunch. Getting back to the 7 day sail, we stopped at 6 islands and along the way many small island coves where we would stay for a lengthy swim, snorkeling and usually lunch. Captain would several times fly a drone to capture pictures of the swimming as well. "We sailed on the Catamaran Poker face with Captain Haris (Babbis) and his wife/first mate Vicky the first week of September (Poker Face was a fill in boat for the Captain, they usually sail on the Casino Royale). We had an amazing trip! We sailed with 8 on board, friends and family, and all agreed this is one of the top vacations/excursions we've ever been on. What made this trip so memorable was certainly the attention given us by the amazing crew! Captain Haris is an experienced sailor who knows his way around the islands, and seems to know everyone on the islands. He arranged side excursions for us and they were all great. If you need anything, he knows where to get it. Vicky is an amazing chef and we were continually surprised at the meals she put out of a very small limited kitchen We had breakfast and lunch on board daily, and she upped her game every day serving local favorites. The scenery we saw was incredible. We stopped daily for swimming/snorkeling in some beautiful bays. We made 5 or 6 stops, and seemed like each stop was more beautiful than the one before. We all agreed that we would take this trip again, and that when we go again it will be with Captain Haris and Vicky. They made this trip an incredible experience!"

We try to build the route around two main principles. The first is the profile of your group: how many hours you would like to sail each day, whether you are travelling with children, whether there are particular islands you definitely want to see, and what you generally enjoy doing - sightseeing, history, local life, swimming, snorkeling or simply spending time on the water. The second is the weather at the time of your arrival. These two things need to work together in order to create a trip that feels pleasant and relaxed rather than adventurous for the wrong reasons. Distance also comes into the equation. A successful week needs to strike a balance between many different things, not just sailing. You want time to enjoy the food, explore the islands, meet the locals, discover some history, read a book, paddleboard, snorkel, swim - or simply do absolutely nothing. All of this needs to find its place within the week. That also means having realistic expectations about how far you plan to go. We don't consider sailing endlessly just to reach another island part of the fun. Spending more hours at sea simply to tick destinations off a list can easily take away from everything else the trip has to offer. Last but not least, the yacht itself plays a role. A longer hull can generally achieve higher cruising speeds and cover distances more efficiently. Larger catamarans also place you higher above the waterline, offer more space and comfort, and can generally handle more demanding sea conditions with greater ease. So, beyond the accommodation and layout, the yacht you choose can also influence what makes sense for your itinerary. All in all, there are several things to consider when planning the week. Your group sets the priorities, your yacht helps define what is comfortable and realistic, and the weather always has the final say.
All our trips are fully customizable. There is no fixed itinerary. The final route is shaped together with you, based on your preferences (how many hours you wish to sail per day, whether you prefer sightseeing or relaxation, interest in hiking, swimming, local cuisine, etc.) and - most importantly - the weather conditions at the time of your trip. We do not pre-impose routes, nor do we force sailing long distances if conditions are unpleasant. The captain adjusts the plan daily to ensure the experience remains relaxed, safe, and enjoyable. You may also change plans during the trip and stay longer at places you enjoy.
In order to plan an accurate budget, you should consider the following costs in addition to the yacht price with crew. The figures below are based on averages we have seen from similar groups on previous charters and are intended as a realistic guide rather than fixed costs. Actual expenses will vary depending on your yacht, itinerary, preferences and the time of year you travel. * Fuel: Fuel consumption depends on the yacht, cruising distance, weather conditions and time of year. As a general guide, expect approximately 300-1000 liters, with a total cost in the region of €500-€1,900 for the week. You will receive the yacht with a full tank and refill it upon return. * End cleaning: €300, covering the preparation of the yacht, including cleaning, one set of bed linen, towels and tea towels, as well as the dinghy, outboard engine and gas bottles. * Port fees: Generally minimal, typically around €20-€50 per night, depending on the port or marina. * Crew provisioning: Approximately €25-€30 per crew member, per day for the crew's meals. * Guest provisioning: This depends entirely on your preferences and the food, beverages and alcohol you would like onboard. Your cook will organize the shopping according to your preferences so everything is ready for your arrival. All costs shown are for the entire group, not per person. Adding an additional guest after booking, provided the yacht's layout and permitted capacity allow it, does not change the weekly yacht price.
Meals are an important part of life onboard and are based around fresh, Greek and Mediterranean flavors, adapted to your group's preferences and dietary requirements. With our standard two-person crew setup (Captain and Cook/Host), the natural rhythm is breakfast followed by a substantial lunch or late lunch onboard, while evenings are a wonderful opportunity to step ashore and discover local restaurants and tavernas. One or two dinners onboard can also be arranged. On yachts operating with a three-person crew, the dining experience can be more extensive.
There really is no fixed schedule - and that is part of the experience. You may wake up in a quiet bay, have breakfast onboard and sail in the morning before stopping somewhere beautiful for swimming, paddleboarding or snorkeling. Lunch is often enjoyed onboard, followed by another short sail or time at anchor before arriving at an island later in the day. Evenings can be spent exploring ashore, having dinner in a local restaurant or simply enjoying the yacht. Some days involve more sailing, others almost none. The rhythm develops naturally around the weather, the route and what your group feels like doing.
Absolutely, but choosing the right itinerary is important. Catamarans provide generous space and a stable platform at anchor, although any yacht will move when sailing in open water. For families, younger children or guests who are particularly sensitive to motion, the Saronic Gulf is often an excellent choice because distances are shorter and the waters are generally more protected. Your captain can also adapt the route according to the conditions and your group. Children are welcome onboard and remain under their parents' supervision throughout the charter. Weather is always monitored closely, and itineraries are adapted to avoid unpleasant conditions. The objective is comfort and enjoyment, not endurance sailing.
Our charters operate on a Saturday-to-Saturday basis. On embarkation Saturday, yachts are typically ready from around 14:00 at our base in Alimos Marina, Athens. You are welcome to arrive at that time, board the yacht, and settle into your cabins. Your cook will have already arranged and purchased everything required for your meals, based on the preferences you have shared with us in advance. Everything will be onboard and ready for your arrival, so there is nothing else you need to organize. Once onboard: * The captain will welcome you and introduce the yacht. * A full safety briefing will take place. * You will discuss your preferences and possible routes based on the weather forecast. After these formalities, the trip begins immediately. Depending on your plans and weather conditions, you will usually sail for a few hours and enjoy your first swim or anchorage that very same day. On disembarkation, the yacht returns to the marina on Friday evening. You overnight onboard, and disembarkation takes place by 09:00 on Saturday morning. This timing allows the crew to properly clean, service and prepare the yacht for the next guests according to our standards.
Santorini is not realistically suited to a one-week charter from Athens. The distance requires more than long hours at sea and will quickly turn a sailing holiday into a trip focused simply on reaching one destination. This is not the nature of our trips. If Santorini is important to you, we strongly recommend spending two nights there before or after your charter. Flights from Athens take around 30-45 minutes and can often be found in the region of €80-€120, depending on dates and availability. And there is another reason we recommend experiencing Santorini this way: the real magic of Santorini is on the island, not around it. Its dramatic cliffs, villages, caldera views and sunsets are what make it exceptional. The surrounding waters are very deep, with steep and rocky coastlines, so it offers a very different experience from the bays, beaches and swimming stops that make a week by yacht so special. Our advice is simple: Santorini is absolutely worth visiting - but visit it by plane, and save your sailing week for the islands best experienced from the water. If you are chartering for two weeks, the picture changes completely. Santorini can then become part of a broader Cyclades itinerary without forcing the entire trip to revolve around getting there.
Some islands can be combined within a week; others cannot - at least not without sacrificing comfort. Mykonos and Paros are feasible from Athens within a week under favorable conditions. Santorini, Patmos, Anafi, and other southern or eastern islands are located over 180 nautical miles away and are not realistically reachable within a one-week sailing vacation without excessive daily sailing hours. For these distant islands, we strongly recommend visiting them by ferry or plane before or after your sailing trip. The true experience of a sailing vacation lies in balance, not in covering maximum miles.
Trips are weather-dependent, but this does not mean they are canceled. If strong winds or unfavorable conditions arise, the itinerary is adjusted to more protected areas. To date, we have not lost a single trip due to weather. Greece offers many alternative routes that remain beautiful and enjoyable even when conditions in one region are not ideal. Flexibility is essential and a key for a successful trip along with an elevated experience.
